Overview

The RAP-B-299-4-UN8U consists of a spring-loaded cradle with grip knobs on the back for a quick release function of your tablet. Connecting to the X-Grip is the RAM Stubby^{™ cup holder mount. The durable composite shell construction and flexible support fins can be trimmed to size make this cup holder base a portable and versatile solution.}

The RAM ball and socket system allows for articulation at both ends of the double socket arm creating almost infinite adjustment and perfect viewing angles. Compatible with any vehicle cup holder with an inside diameter range of 2.57 to 3.5 . The X-Grip^{® includes a device tether recommended for outdoor applications.}

The cradle is compatible with handheld devices that will fit the dimensions listed below. It is important to verify the dimensions of your handheld device with a case sleeve skin when determining the overall size.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:

Q: I noticed my tablet can be rotated back and forth about 15 degrees when it is in the X-Grip. Is that normal?

 

A: That type of movement is totally normal for the X-Grip. When being used for less rugged applications the small amount of movement allowed is not an issue, but sometimes when traveling at higher speeds or in bumpy environments it can be. If that is causing problems in your application, it is best to use the safety tether which will prevent that type of movement by creating tension between the phone and backplate.
